Respiratory Care
The Respiratory Care Services offer services for both inpatients and
outpatients. Services include:
- Bronchoscopy - Diagnostic and Therapeutic-Wang needle & forcep
biopsies
- Pulmonary Function Testing(PFT) - includes-Spirometry, MVV, DLCO,
Nitrogen Washout and lung volumes
- Aerosol therapy - Several forms of medication based delivered therapies
- Pulse oximetry - Continuous monitoring and overnight oximetry studies.
- Nonivasive Ventilation(BiPAP) - Used extensively throughout the facility
with a high rate of success
- Continuous Mechanical Ventilation - All the latest forms/modes of
ventilatory support
- C-section Assistance - Assist in the initial assessment and treatment
of newborns with respiratory complications
- Asthma Education - Group classes for adults, parents, children and
schools, as well as one-one classes
All Respiratory Therapist are either certified and or are registered
by the state of California to practice as Respiratory Care Practitioners.
All therapist have successfully completed courses in BLS, ACLS, NRP and
PALS.
Neurology services are provided on an inpatient and outpatient bases.
Exams currently given: Electroencephalograph(EEG); Electrocerebral silence(ECS).
Potential looking to do Somatosensory Evoked Potentials(SSEP), Visual
Evoked Response(VER) and Auditory Evoked Response(BAER).
