Pink Line

Two telephone calls a day can assure elderly or handicapped persons living alone that assistance will be available in case of an emergency.  Join the PINK LINE, a service of Tulare District Hospital Auxiliary.

The procedure is very simple.  When you enroll in the program, PINK LINE volunteers will call you twice daily, six days a week (no calls on Sunday).  A call will be made between the hours of 9 and 10 am and 5 and 6 pm to check on our clients.  If you are having a health problem, just notify the volunteers.

If you fail to answer, a relative or neighbor will be contacted to check on you.  If this fails, the local police department will be notified.  You must remember to call the PINK LINE if you are going to be away from your phone during the time calls are made.

Remember, this service is provided FREE to senior citizens and handicapped persons living alone in the Tulare area.

For more information call 685-3475.
