Oncology
Inpatient and outpatient Oncology services at Tulare District Hospital
include Immunological, Rheumatologic and Hematological services. The Oncology
Services at TDHS are designed to provide optional care.
Immunology is the treatment of the immune system. Rheumatology is a branch of
medicine that concerns itself with the arthritic complaints, mainly Rheumatoid
and osteo-arthritis and Hematology is the treatment of blood diseases.
Teaching and support services are provided through our monthly Cancer Support Group and participation in other community sponsored events.
The Oncology service uses an interdisciplinary approach to care based on the individual needs of each patient. Care is coordinated during patient visits and at the bedside.
