Making a 'Drive' for a Healthier Community!
TULARE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION HOSTS ANNUAL WATTE MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Saturday, May. 3rd, 2008

Golfers and supporters will join forces once again on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Tulare Golf Course for the Annual Watte Memorial Golf Tournament. Proceeds will benefit Tulare District Hospital for specialized patient care equipment. Entry fee for the tournament is $130 per person. The fee covers cart, green fees, tee prizes, tournament contest prizes, cash awards for winning teams and more. The tournament begins at noon with a shotgun start. Lunch will be provided, and hors d'oeuvres will be served during the Awards Presentation. The tournament is open to all players 18 and older. Teams of six golfers will be selected by blind draw. Play is under scramble rules. "This event is fun and supports a great cause," said Tom Beck, tournament co-chair. "During the past 14 years, this tournament has raised approximately $500,000 for medical care improvements at the hospital. "We are honored to have our tournament dedicated in memory of Al and George Watte," states Wayne Ross, tournament co-chair. "Both brothers cared deeply about our community and gave time and resources to make Tulare a better place to live".
