Tulare District Hospital’s emergency department is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, providing emergency care to patients of all ages, with both medical and traumatic injuries.
Our emergency medical services are provided by a specialized group of medical staff and physicians, including the physicians from Team Health Medical Group.
The emergency department sees more than 28,000 patients a year in both the emergency department and the Fast Track area where patients with less serious injuries and illnesses are treated.
While the emergency department is open 24 hours a day, Fast Track is open noon to midnight every day.
The emergency department has six beds, two of which are critical care rooms, one OB/GYN/PEDS and three general-purpose beds. Fast Track area has six general-purpose beds.
A new lobby was opened in 2005, offering more room and comfort for both
our patients and their families.
The Emergency Services Department is located on the west side of the hospital
and the driveway entrances are located off of Merritt Avenue and Gem Street.
